About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will join the team as an Electrical Engineer Intern focusing on federal projects. This role requires you to work on-site at the office.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Organize and evaluate data using computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Manage project materials, references, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required for work on government agency projects.
- Coursework or knowledge in power systems, motors, transformers, renewable energy, power delivery, or three-phase power calculations.
- Familiarity with engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective written communication.
- The ability to build professional relationships.
