About the role#
This position offers an opportunity to gain clinical experience in the Emergency Department at Christian Hospital. You will work under the direction of registered nurses to provide direct patient care in a high acuity environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide multi-skilled direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist the nursing team with patient and family education.
- Document care activities using medical terminology.
- Act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter when needed.
- Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Collect clinical data and report any abnormal findings to the nurse.
- Instruct patients on how to prepare for tests and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a foundational nursing skills course, such as fundamentals or adult/peds health.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Enrollment in an accredited BSN program is preferred.
