About the role#
The Bismarck Larks are looking for a Content Marketing & Camera Operator Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This role offers hands-on experience in sports media, marketing, and live event production. Interns will be involved in the live broadcast of all 36 home games, including games featured on ESPN+ and local television. You will work on-site in Bismarck, North Dakota, throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Operate cameras for all 36 home games, including positions in the press box and behind home plate.
- Create graphic and video content for the team video board, social media channels, and Funatix Events.
- Manage the team website and send push notifications via the mobile app.
- Write and distribute press releases to local media.
- Assist with photo editing, uploading, and labeling.
- Write promotional pieces for digital platforms and game-day programs.
- Maintain broadcast equipment and assist with video board operations.
- Represent the team at community events and mascot appearances, including performing as the mascot at least once.
- Support ballpark and event operations, including set-up, tear-down, and general cleanliness.
- Distribute marketing materials like pocket schedules and posters.
- Maintain office hours from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays.
What you'll need#
- Current college student studying Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, InDesign, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Proficiency in managing social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and work extended shifts of up to 14 hours.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Previous experience in live sports production or website management is preferred.

The Bismarck Larks Baseball Club operates as a member of the Northwoods League. Founded in 2017, the organization is based in Bismarck, North Dakota. The club provides entertainment and hospitality services for families and local companies. All home games take place at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.
