Student Operations Services Coordinator

About the role#

Bird Construction is seeking a Student Operations Services Coordinator for an 8-month co-op position. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience through independent project management, supported by a supervisor and a technical mentor. You will act as a bridge between departments, including Digital Services, Operations, Finance, and People & Culture, to support process standardization and operational efficiency.

What you'll do#

• Update and integrate Company Operations Manual forms into new InEight software and set up custom standard views.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and suggest improvements to streamline workflows.
• Collect operational data, generate reports, and analyze performance metrics.
• Assist with learning needs analysis and propose innovative learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning formats.
• Support the design, development, and implementation of learning activities and operational solutions.
• Develop communication materials to promote the adoption of learning solutions across business divisions.
• Organize project timelines, schedules, and meetings to support the Operational Services Director.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Business or Human Resources, with at least one semester of education remaining after the internship.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to lead and operate effectively within a frequently changing environment.
• Strong commitment to achieving goals and a collaborative, positive attitude.
• High level of interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must hold residency or a valid work permit to work for Bird Construction.
• Submission of a current transcript is required for all applications.
