About the role#
BHI Senior Living is seeking a Social Media Intern to join our fall 2026 cohort. This is an 11.5-week, paid, on-site internship based at our corporate office in Indianapolis. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to social media campaigns, creating content, and collaborating across our various departments and communities. The role is designed to support your professional growth through project-based work and weekly development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns for recruitment and brand awareness.
- Create content for LinkedIn and other platforms, including graphics, photos, short-form videos, and captions.
- Manage content calendars and research industry trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather stories and schedule approved posts.
- Monitor audience engagement, track metrics, and prepare basic performance reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Health Administration, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.
- A genuine interest in the senior living industry and a passion for caring for seniors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse audiences.
