About the role#
As a Project Management Intern, you will support technical teams by handling basic engineering tasks and learning our internal processes. You will work under direct supervision, focusing on foundational projects while referring complex issues to senior staff. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in utility system construction.
What you'll do#
- Learn our organizational processes and procedures.
- Contribute to assigned projects and assist with documentation.
- Manage record and filing systems, including drafting standards and data resources.
- Organize and store engineering records such as maps, design drawings, and structural graphs.
- Collect and code data for input procedures.
- Review existing records to prepare data and identify necessary revisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a technical field.
- A beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attentiveness to detail and the ability to follow directions.
Location & details#
- Location: New Orleans, Louisiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Travel: Up to 5% of the time to job sites or office locations.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
