About the role#
Bernhard is seeking a Pre-Engineering Mechanical Intern to support technical staff in Westmont, Illinois. You will work under direct supervision to perform basic engineering tasks and learn our internal processes. This is a full-time, paid position that involves contributing to ongoing projects and managing engineering records.
What you'll do#
- Learn organizational processes and procedures.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of project documentation.
- Organize and store maps, structural drawings, and design graphs.
- Collect and code data for input procedures.
- Review existing records for necessary revisions.
- Contribute to assigned engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High level of attentiveness and the ability to follow directions.
- Beginning to working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
Location & details#
- Location: Westmont, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Travel: 0-5% of the time to job sites or office locations.
- Physical requirements include the ability to move objects up to 20 pounds and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
