About the role#
Bernhard is hiring an Engineering Intern to support technical staff in our utility system construction operations. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will work under direct supervision while gaining experience with organizational processes and basic engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Learn internal processes and contribute to assigned projects.
- Organize and store engineering records, including maps, design drawings, graphs, and structural drawings.
- Assist with filing systems, drafting techniques, and data resource duties.
- Collect and code data for input procedures.
- Review existing records to identify necessary revisions and prepare data.
- Maintain documentation and records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a technical field.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attentiveness to detail and the ability to follow directions.
- A beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
- Capacity to handle basic issues and problems under supervision.
Location & details#
- Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Up to 5% travel to job sites or office locations may be required.
- Physical requirements: Ability to perform light work, including moving objects up to 20 pounds, and remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
