About the role#
Bernhard is hiring an Engineering Intern to support technical staff in our utility system construction operations. This is a paid, full-time position based in Coppell, Texas. You will work under direct supervision to handle basic engineering tasks, referring complex issues to senior staff.
What you'll do#
- Learn our internal processes, procedures, and standards.
- Contribute to assigned projects and collect data for input.
- Organize and store engineering records, including maps, graphs, and structural drawings.
- Assist with filing systems, drafting techniques, and data resource duties.
- Review existing records to identify necessary revisions and prepare updated data.
- Maintain and develop project documentation.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attentiveness to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

- Travel: Up to 5% travel to job sites or office locations may be required.
- Physical requirements: Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds, climbing stairs, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
