About the role#
This internship is designed for students interested in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels, and institutional facilities. You will gain hands-on experience while supporting our project teams and estimating departments. This is a paid, full-time position based in Louisville, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Create a master checklist of goals to guide your internship experience.
- Assist with project, estimating, and business operation tasks.
- Collect information and maintain files, databases, spreadsheets, and schedules.
- Prepare reports and presentations.
- Attend departmental and jobsite meetings.
- Work under the supervision of Project Managers or other staff.
- Participate in company learning experiences, including jobsite tours, safety inspections, and orientations.
- Study company policies and procedures to understand our operations.
- Provide feedback on your experience during an exit interview.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related business major.
- Current classification as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Reliable daily transportation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under daily supervision.
- A detail-oriented approach and the ability to multitask.
- A focus on safety and respect for company tools and equipment.
- Punctuality and a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Travel: Up to 5% of your time may be spent traveling to job sites or office locations.
- Physical requirements: The role involves sitting at a desk, using a computer, climbing stairs, and occasionally moving objects up to 20 pounds.
