About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking candidates for a Tax internship in Atlanta, Georgia, during the spring of 2028. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience across several areas of tax, with responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. You will work with diverse clients and collaborate with associates across various practices.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Calculate income tax projections and estimates for clients.
- Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.
- Research, analyze, and summarize financial information.
- Apply knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
- Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to deliver quality client service.
- Participate in the firm mentorship program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program (junior, senior, or master's student).
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
