Tax Intern - Spring 2028

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking a Tax Intern for the Spring 2028 term in Dallas, Texas. This internship provides exposure to several areas of tax practice, offering responsibilities and experiences similar to those of a first-year staff member. You will work directly with firm leadership to provide quality service to a diverse client base.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Calculate income tax projections and estimates for clients.
• Conduct research, analysis, and summarization of financial information.
• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
• Analyze accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
• Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.
• Collaborate with firm leadership across various levels.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
