Tax Intern

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking a Tax Intern for the Winter 2028 term in Denver, Colorado. This internship provides experience across several areas of tax, offering responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. Interns will collaborate with firm leadership and receive support through a formal mentorship program.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Calculate income tax projections and estimates for clients.
• Analyze accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and conformance with reporting standards.
• Conduct research, analysis, and summarization of financial information.
• Apply knowledge of accounting and auditing theory to client projects.
• Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
