About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for a Winter 2028 internship in Dallas, Texas. This internship provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. You will work across various industries, assist in preparing financial statements, and interact with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.
What you'll do#
- Apply accounting and auditing standards to assigned tasks.
- Learn and use the firm audit approach to complete audit programs.
- Document working papers clearly and accurately.
- Review financial data including assets, liabilities, capital stock, and expenditures.
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements align with GAAP.
- Use firm technology and research tools to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to deliver service to clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
