Tax Intern

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking a Tax Intern for the Winter 2028 term in Dallas, Texas. This internship provides exposure to several areas of tax, with responsibilities and experiences designed to mirror those of a first-year staff member.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently, applying feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
• Develop income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients.
• Conduct research and analyze financial information to support client needs.
• Assess the accuracy, completeness, and conformance of financial statements and records against reporting standards.
• Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.
• Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing theory in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to provide quality service to clients.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional excellence and client service.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
