About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking a Tax Intern for a Winter 2028 internship in Dallas, Texas. This role provides experience across several areas of tax, offering responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. Interns will collaborate with firm leadership and receive support through a formal buddy program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently, applying feedback to improve performance.
- Develop income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients.
- Conduct research and analyze, develop, and summarize financial information.
- Review financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy and conformance with reporting standards.
- Maintain and organize client files according to firm protocols.
- Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing theory in daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
