Tax Intern - Spring 2028

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking Tax Interns for a Spring 2028 internship in Denver. This role provides experience across several areas of tax, offering responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. You will work with firm leadership to provide quality service to clients and participate in a mentorship program.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Calculate income tax projections and estimates.
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.
• Conduct research, analysis, and summarization of financial information.
• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
• Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
