Tax Intern - Spring 2027

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking candidates for a paid, full-time Tax internship for the Winter 2027 term. This role is designed to provide experience similar to that of a first-year staff member, offering exposure to various areas of tax through hands-on projects and firm-wide collaboration.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently, incorporating feedback to improve performance.
• Develop income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients.
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Conduct research, analysis, and summarization of financial information.
• Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing theory and standards.
• Maintain client files according to firm standards and collaborate with firm leadership.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
