About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking Tax Interns for a Spring 2027 internship in Atlanta, Georgia. This role provides experience across several areas of tax, offering responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. Interns participate in the firm's Buddy program for mentorship and collaborate with firm leadership to provide service to clients.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently, utilizing feedback to prevent recurring errors.
- Calculate income tax projections and estimates for clients.
- Conduct research, analysis, and summarization of financial information.
- Analyze accounting records and financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards.
- Maintain and organize client files according to firm standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
