IT Intern - AI & Automation

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking an IT Intern to support AI and automation initiatives in Atlanta. This role involves working closely with IT and development teams to assist with internal pilot programs, configuration of AI tools, and the translation of business needs into technical solutions while adhering to firm governance and security standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist with AI pilot programs and rollouts, including testing new tools, validating functionality, and documenting results.
• Participate in the design, configuration, and build of internal AI agents and automations under supervision.
• Support quality assurance for AI agents, workflows, and integrations to ensure reliability, accuracy, and compliance.
• Document AI agent use cases, prompts, workflows, and limitations for internal reference.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems and help translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
• Work with developers and IT staff to experiment with automation concepts, APIs, and low-code/no-code tools.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in software development, automation, and AI technologies.
• Basic programming experience in languages such as Python or JavaScript, or relevant coursework and projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with concepts such as APIs, prompts, workflows, or automation tools is a plus.
