About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is hiring an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will gain experience similar to that of a first-year staff member by working across several industries and interacting with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.
What you'll do#
- Apply accounting and auditing standards to your daily work.
- Learn and use the Bennett Thrasher Audit Approach for assigned sections.
- Document working papers clearly and accurately.
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to confirm financial statements align with GAAP.
- Review data related to assets, liabilities, capital stock, income, and expenditures.
- Use firm technology and research tools to address technical issues.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to deliver service to clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- A basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
