About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking candidates for a Winter 2028 Audit internship in Atlanta, Georgia. This full-time, paid position provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. Interns will work across various industries, performing financial reporting engagement procedures and interacting with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP.
- Document working papers clearly and adequately.
- Work with all levels of firm leadership to provide quality service to clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
