Audit Intern

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term in Atlanta, Georgia. This full-time, paid internship provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff associate, offering exposure to various industries and direct interaction with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.

What you'll do#

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
• Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
• Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with GAAP.
• Review data regarding assets, liabilities, capital stock, income, and expenditures.
• Perform analytical procedures on account balances and document findings in working papers.
• Utilize current technology and research software to address technical accounting issues.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to provide quality service to clients.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week.
