Audit Intern

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term in Denver, Colorado. This internship provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member, offering exposure to various industries and direct interaction with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.

What you'll do#

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
• Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
• Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements comply with GAAP.
• Review data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, and income.
• Document working papers clearly and adequately.

What you'll need#

• Currently working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
