About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for our Spring 2028 term in Dallas, Texas. This role provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. You will work across various industries, assist in preparing financial statements, and interact with clients under the guidance of seniors and managers.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing theory.
- Develop an understanding of our audit approach and its application to assigned sections.
- Document working papers clearly and accurately.
- Review data related to assets, liabilities, net worth, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
- Develop and perform analytical procedures on account balances.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- The ability to work 40 hours per week.
