About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for the Spring 2028 term in Denver, Colorado. This internship provides exposure to various industries and offers responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. You will work alongside seniors and managers to support financial reporting and assurance services.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
- Document working papers clearly and adequately.
- Review data related to material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
- Develop and perform analytical procedures on account balances.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
