Audit Intern - Spring 2028

About the role#

Bennett Thrasher is seeking Audit interns for a Spring 2028 internship in Atlanta, Georgia. This role provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff, allowing interns to work across various industries and collaborate with firm leadership.

What you'll do#

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
• Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections, including the completion of audit programs.
• Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP.
• Document working papers clearly and adequately.
• Review data related to material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.

What you'll need#

• Currently working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
