About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for the Spring 2028 term in Atlanta, Georgia. This internship provides experience across various industries, offering responsibilities similar to those of a first-year staff member. You will work with seniors and managers to perform financial reporting procedures and interact with clients.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP.
- Document working papers clearly and adequately.
- Review data related to material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
