About the role#
Beneva is looking for an actuarial intern to join the property and casualty insurance team. You will use math, statistics, and programming to analyze historical data and make predictions about future events. You will work alongside professionals to gain practical experience while contributing to real projects.
What you'll do#
- Review pricing for various products.
- Model average costs and frequency.
- Analyze average costs to identify trends.
- Prepare data for reinsurance catastrophe modeling.
- Build work tools using the R programming language.
What you'll need#
- Completion of two years of a bachelor's degree in actuarial science by summer 2027.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in the R programming language.
- Familiarity with Git/Github is an asset.
- English language skills are an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and resourcefulness.
- Submission of a resume, cover letter, and transcript.
