About the role#
Belmark is seeking an undergraduate student for a 6 to 8 month Co-Op position within our Technical Services team. This role provides hands-on experience in the packaging industry, focusing on research and development projects. You will work on-site at our De Pere facility to support engineering staff and contribute to long-term departmental goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform validation and performance testing on flexible packaging and pressure sensitive label constructions.
- Conduct simulated conditions, distribution, and physical property testing.
- Analyze materials from customer-supplied samples to determine raw material construction.
- Benchmark competitive materials and conduct competitive analyses.
- Assist in profiling and characterizing new and existing materials, including adhesives and inks.
- Help determine product requirements based on customer needs.
- Communicate project status and results clearly to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a quality-related career, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to effectively utilize the English language.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- Location: De Pere, Wisconsin.
- Term: 6 to 8 months, with availability starting in Winter, Summer, or Fall from 2027 through 2029.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position featuring a sign-on bonus and a relocation stipend for students living more than 50 miles from the campus.
