MPIP Intern

About the role#

The Multicultural Psychology Internship Program (MPIP) at Behavioral Health Network, Inc (BHN) offers a year-long, community-based training experience. This internship is designed to prepare doctoral students for professional practice in community behavioral health, with a strong focus on multicultural competence, evidence-based interventions, and professional development.

What you'll do#

• Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Complete psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and support individuals with complex behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate treatment and support positive outcomes.
• Participate in individual and group supervision, didactic seminars, and clinical consultations.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• A Master's Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Full fluency in both English and Spanish.
• A minimum of 500 completed practicum hours, with 1,000+ hours preferred.
• A demonstrated interest in community mental health, multicultural psychology, and evidence-based practice.
