About the role#
Behavioral Health Network is seeking a master level student for a Fall 2026 internship at the CCS Respite program in Westfield, Massachusetts. This position offers hands-on experience in an outpatient setting, including mentorship, supervision, and training. This is a paid, full-time equivalent opportunity requiring two 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
What you'll do#
- Assess client treatment needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress within the crisis stabilization unit.
- Establish supportive relationships with psychiatric clients, their family members, and service providers.
- Demonstrate competency in the use of agency technological systems.
- Participate in all required training and supervision sessions.
- Gain an understanding of program goals and the mission of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a clinical master's program in Psychology, Public Health, or Nursing.
- Strong documentation skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated motivation to work in the mental health field.
- Previous experience in the mental health field is preferred.
