About the role#
Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Master's level student for a Fall 2026 internship with the Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team. This paid, full-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience in crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and community-based support services under the guidance of experienced mentors.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and learn to conduct in-person behavioral health assessments in homes, community settings, and clinics.
- Observe and assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and post-stabilization services.
- Document clinical assessments and treatment recommendations accurately and promptly.
- Utilize agency technological systems to manage clinical data.
- Participate in required supervision and training sessions.
- Assist in diverting unnecessary hospitalizations by connecting individuals to appropriate community-based supports.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student in a clinical Master's program, such as Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration.
- Strong documentation skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated motivation to work in the mental health field.
- Previous experience working in the mental health field is preferred.
