Fall Internship - MCI (Master's level)

About the role#

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Master's level student for a Fall 2026 internship with the Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team. This paid, full-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience in crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and community-based support services under the guidance of experienced mentors.

What you'll do#

• Shadow and learn to conduct in-person behavioral health assessments in homes, community settings, and clinics.
• Observe and assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and post-stabilization services.
• Document clinical assessments and treatment recommendations accurately and promptly.
• Utilize agency technological systems to manage clinical data.
• Participate in required supervision and training sessions.
• Assist in diverting unnecessary hospitalizations by connecting individuals to appropriate community-based supports.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled as a graduate student in a clinical Master's program, such as Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration.
• Strong documentation skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated motivation to work in the mental health field.
• Previous experience working in the mental health field is preferred.
