About the role#

This internship at the Behavioral Health Network (BHN) CCS Respite program in Westfield offers Bachelor-level students hands-on experience in the mental health field. Interns receive mentorship and supervision while learning the daily responsibilities of a BA counselor and supporting the needs of individuals served by the program.

What you'll do#

Work effectively as a team member to support program goals.
Identify, analyze, and solve problems as they arise during daily duties.
Consult with supervisors and colleagues when making decisions.
Maintain job effectiveness while adapting to changing conditions.
Learn about BHN mission and program objectives.

What you'll need#

Current enrollment in a Bachelor-level program for Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated motivation to work in the mental health field.
Experience in the mental health field is preferred.
Ability to establish rapport with individuals served, their families, and service providers is preferred.

Location: Westfield, Massachusetts.
Term: Summer 2026.
Modality: On-site.
Status: Full-time, unpaid internship.
