About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship running from May through August 2027. You will work on-site at our location in London, Ohio. During this time, you will participate in several research learning modules covering planting, data collection, plot identification, and production agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Set up and plant various research studies, which includes organizing seed, cleaning meter units, and flagging or staking plots.
- Collect, report, and analyze stand count data to compare fungicide and insecticide treatments.
- Thin plots to reach desired populations.
- Design and map test plots, including installing signs and stakes for proper identification.
- Provide agronomic support to our sales staff.
- Ride along with the PFR Location Lead on customer calls to evaluate product performance and diagnose agronomic issues.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate course work in an agriculture-related field.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- A farm background and general farm knowledge are helpful.
- You may be required to obtain a chauffeur license or equivalent.
- Please note this is a safety-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
