About the role#
The Tax Intern, Transfer Pricing role involves working with a team of consulting economists. You will help multinational companies price transactions between their corporate entities. This work assists companies in complying with domestic and foreign tax regulations. You will evaluate economic conditions, industry trends, and client intercompany transactions to substantiate pricing.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risks, value drivers, and industry trends.
- Analyze financial and industry data to benchmark or document intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, such as calculating intangible property value or evaluating market penetration scenarios.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos describing the analytical process.
- Prepare project reports and presentations for current and potential clients.
- Take interview notes and prepare detailed summaries.
- Proofread and edit reports before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exceptional research and writing skills.
- Ability to proofread and edit highly technical material.
- Capacity to produce initial drafts of project deliverables independently.
- Strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of transfer pricing.
- Effective interpersonal skills for client communication and presentations.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
