About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our client base. You will gain hands-on experience with firm practices while building relationships to help your career. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2028.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns.
- Collect data to meet filing requirements and organize files to minimize rework.
- Assist with responses to IRS notices and project year-end filings.
- Apply firm policies regarding FAS 109 and FIN 48.
- Assist with income tax provisions and methods to maximize client benefits.
- Monitor tax law developments and communicate findings to the team.
- Operate online research tools to gather tax information.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, standards, and the Tax Quality Manual.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a related field.
- Active pursuit of school credits to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Preference for candidates pursuing a Masters degree or those with leadership experience.
