About the role#
The Business Incentives Group (BIG) at BDO USA offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a national consulting practice. This internship focuses on helping companies identify and claim government incentives designed to promote innovation, economic growth, and job creation, such as the Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credit. Interns will work with clients across various industries, including technology, manufacturing, life sciences, and healthcare, to help them navigate complex tax incentives.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution of multiple client engagements.
- Collaborate with BIG professionals on business strategy, process development, and marketing initiatives.
- Establish effective working relationships with BIG professionals and BDO employees.
- Contribute to the development of your own technical acumen and the firm's market prominence.
- Conduct business development research to identify opportunities for new and existing clients.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, with a preferred focus in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Communications, or Law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and basic research skills.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is preferred.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
