About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will start applying your accounting education and organizational skills to support our client engagements. You will work alongside experienced team members who provide coaching and direction. This role offers a hands-on perspective on our audit practices and helps you build professional relationships early in your career.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured on-the-job training program to build your knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Assist with various stages of the audit process using BDO methodology.
- Provide support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, banks, and related parties regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
- Complete an assigned accounting or audit research project and present your findings to a panel of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow instructions as directed.
