About the role#
BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op or Intern student for the Assurance team in our Portage la Prairie office. This is a full-time, 4-month position running from May to August 2027. You will gain experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance while working in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns for various clients using technical knowledge from your studies.
- Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments in line with regulatory standards.
- Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients while responding to their requests.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with existing clients.
- Communicate project progress and address issues with your team on an ongoing basis.

- Current enrollment in an accounting degree or diploma program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and a willingness to take initiative.
- A commitment to teamwork and providing outstanding client service.
