About the role#
Transformation Waco is seeking individuals to join the STEAM education and outreach team as a STEAM Tutor or a Lead STEAM Tutor. These roles focus on inspiring students through hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The Lead Tutor role includes additional responsibilities such as mentoring fellow tutors and supporting program development.
What you'll do#
- Inspire students through hands-on learning activities.
- Assist in working with external community service partners and local organizations.
- Prepare and present information in group or workshop settings.
- Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Provide customer service as a representative of the University.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services and outreach programs.
- Serve as a resource for information regarding community services.
- Mentor fellow tutors if serving in the Lead Tutor capacity.
What you'll need#
- Passion and knowledge regarding STEAM education.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Capability to plan and organize community services and projects.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all pertinent information.
- Ability to comply with University policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
