About the role#
Baylor University is seeking students to join the STEAM education and outreach team at the Transformation Waco STEAM Center. This role involves inspiring students through hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The position is available for the Fall 2026 term and is a paid, on-site opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Inspire students through hands-on learning activities.
- Assist in working with external community service partners to support local programs.
- Prepare and present information in group or workshop settings.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Lead Tutors will mentor fellow tutors and support program development.
- Provide customer service as a representative of the University.
- Assist with planning and organizing community services and outreach projects.
What you'll need#
- Passion for and knowledge of STEAM education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share information.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Capability to plan and organize community service initiatives.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all pertinent information.
- Majors in Mathematics, Psychology, Communications, Public Health, or Environmental Engineering are encouraged to apply.
