About the role#
Baylor University is hiring Teaching Assistants for the TIP program within the School of Education. You will provide supervision and mentoring to elementary and secondary students participating in programs through the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist instructors in planning and implementing lessons for high-ability students.
- Provide supervision for students during class, breaks, and lunch periods.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to resolve student disciplinary issues.
- Complete required training and job-specific assignments.
- Encourage positive student engagement with activities and peers.
- Help with administrative and operational duties to support program logistics.
- Enforce safety and risk management policies.
What you'll need#
- Completion of 2 years of undergraduate coursework or Advanced Undergrad status with 120 credit hours.
- An active Christian faith.
- Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Majors in Psychology, Communications, or Sociology are relevant to this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Typically one Saturday per month from 8:15 to 4:15.
