About the role#
The World Cup Cafe is seeking a student worker to support daily operations through customer service and facility maintenance. This role involves working with external community partners and provides an opportunity to develop skills in communication, problem solving, and teamwork.
What you'll do#
- Wait tables and serve food to customers.
- Bus tables and maintain the cleanliness of the facility.
- Operate the coffee station and prepare a variety of coffee drinks.
- Assist with food safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Must be eligible for federal work-study.
- Ability to obtain a food handlers certificate.
- Experience in customer service and point of sales systems.
- Proficiency with computers and strong communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or Nutrition.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week (Tuesday through Sunday).
- Pay: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Note: As this is off-campus employment, reliable transportation is required.
