About the role#
This position supports the Talitha Koum Institute by providing direct care and supervision for children ranging from infants to 5 years of age. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment and supporting children who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
What you'll do#
- Provide consistent care and supervision for children.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Supervise children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
- Ensure the safety and overall well-being of all children in the program.
- Assist with external community service partners as needed.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Federal Work Study (FWS) student.
- Ability to provide care for children from infancy through age 5.
- Prior experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication skills.
- Availability Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Kinesiology, Sociology, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or Graphic Design.
