About the role#
This position involves providing direct care and supervision for children ranging from infants to five years of age. You will work within the Talitha Koum Institute to support children, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
What you'll do#
- Provide consistent care and supervision for children from infancy through age five.
- Manage and support children who demonstrate challenging behaviors.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with external community service partners as needed.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all children in the program.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Federal Work Study (FWS) student.
- Ability to provide care for children from infants to five years old.
- Previous experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication skills.
- Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- This role is open to students majoring in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Kinesiology, Sociology, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or Graphic Design.
