About the role#
The Student Success Ambassador program focuses on improving academic well-being and preparedness for students. This student worker position involves supporting departmental goals within the Paul L. Foster Success Center by assisting peers with learning strategies and campus resources.
What you'll do#
- Attend the Strategic Learning 1102-N7 course, which covers talent development, the science of learning, study strategies, and university resources.
- Direct students to relevant campus and community resources.
- Promote available resources and your personal experience to peers in classes and student organizations.
- Participate in university-provided tutoring programming.
- Maintain regular attendance for the Strategic Learning class, tutoring sessions, and supplemental instruction.
- Utilize additional Baylor resources as necessary to support departmental initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current freshman status.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- No history of a severe disciplinary record.
- Ability to comply with all university policies.
Location & details#
- Location: Sid Richardson building, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work schedule: 7 hours per week.
- Compensation: $11.00 per hour.
