About the role#
The String Project Teacher position involves providing music instruction to children in grades 4-12. Teachers work with students on violin, viola, cello, or bass through group lessons or individual private sessions. This role requires applying instructional methods learned during degree coursework to foster student growth and development.
What you'll do#
- Co-teach group lessons or provide individual private instruction on string instruments.
- Identify student educational needs and provide targeted assistance.
- Assist students in designated academic subjects or disciplines as required.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Provide information and customer service to constituents.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all pertinent information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a string music education or string performance major.
- Ability to comply with all University policies.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Waco Hall East.
- Schedule: Flexible, 2-5 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling (Fall and Spring ongoing).
- Compensation: $30 per hour.
