About the role#
The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University is hiring a student worker to support daily operations in the main department office. This position is open to students in Communications, Human Resources, or Business Administration. You will work 10 to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
What you'll do#
- Assist faculty and staff with daily tasks.
- Manage supply inventory and provide order requests to the Office Manager.
- Maintain printer and copier supplies.
- Sort incoming mail and distribute it to department mailboxes.
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors.
- Perform light housekeeping in the office area.
- Run errands to the copy center or other departments.
- Complete and submit your timesheet on time.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability.
- Commitment to honesty and maintaining confidentiality, including compliance with FERPA regulations.
- Ability to perform administrative functions similar to an office manager.

- Location: Old Main 275, 1462 S. 7th St., Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $8.50 per hour.
