About the role#
The Department of Human Sciences and Design is looking for students to join our administrative support team. You will be a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, and visitors in the Goebel and Mary Gibbs Jones buildings. This role provides experience in office management, marketing, event support, and professional communication. We match students to tasks based on their skills, interests, and area of study.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer phones while providing customer service.
- Handle clerical tasks like filing, copying, data entry, and organizing.
- Assist with faculty and program-specific projects.
- Support departmental events, marketing initiatives, and social media.
- Maintain clean workspaces and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- A dependable, proactive, and self-motivated approach to your work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A professional demeanor when interacting with others.
- The ability to follow university policies and maintain regular attendance.

- Location: Waco, Texas (Mary Gibbs Jones building).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Pay: $10 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
