About the role#
The Department of Human Sciences and Design is seeking student workers to support daily administrative operations. You will serve as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors in the Goebel and Mary Gibbs Jones buildings. This position provides experience in office management, marketing, event support, and professional communication.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer phones while providing customer service.
- Perform clerical and organizational tasks including filing, copying, and data entry.
- Assist with faculty and program-specific projects.
- Contribute to departmental marketing and social media initiatives.
- Support special events and maintain organized workspaces.
- Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, with a preference for majors in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- A dependable, proactive, and self-motivated work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas. Work is performed on-site at the Mary Gibbs Jones building.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid position at $10 per hour.
