About the role#
This position supports the Campus Recreation department by assisting students, faculty, and staff in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You will work in the Fitness Center to ensure a safe and organized environment for all patrons.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to all Fitness Center visitors.
- Track attendance and monitor the facility to ensure the safe use of exercise equipment.
- Educate patrons on facility usage policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness area, which includes moderate to heavy lifting of equipment.
- Assist with various business operations, projects, and activities.
What you'll need#
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Professionalism and strong time management skills.
- Ability to comply with all university policies.
- Availability to work a minimum of 7 hours per week, including weekends.
- Preferred majors include Kinesiology, Health Administration, or Real Estate.

- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Terms: Fall 2027 and Winter 2028.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position.
