About the role#
This position supports the Campus Recreation department at Baylor University. You will help maintain the Fitness Center to ensure students, faculty, and staff have a safe and clean environment for their workouts. This role requires the ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting to organize equipment.
What you'll do#
- Greet patrons and provide quality customer service.
- Track attendance and monitor the facility.
- Ensure all exercise equipment is used safely and correctly.
- Educate patrons on Fitness Center policies.
- Assist with projects and tasks related to daily business operations.
- Help with spotting as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Professionalism and solid time management skills.
- Ability to follow University policies.
- Minimum availability of 7 hours per week.
- Ability to work weekends.
Location & details#
- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Terms: Fall 2027 and Winter 2028.
- Schedule: Shifts are available between 5:45 AM and Midnight, Sunday through Saturday.
- This is a paid, on-site position.
