About the role#
The Dean's Office in the Moody School of Education is looking for a student assistant to help with daily office operations. You will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and assist staff with administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors, faculty, staff, and students at the reception desk.
- Answer the telephone professionally.
- Manage office tasks using tools like MS Word, Teams, and Canva.
- Distribute mail throughout the building.
- Inventory supplies and monitor printer paper levels.
- Stock the kitchen and conference rooms.
- Assist with events, which may involve lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Baylor student.
- Punctuality and a willingness to work are required.
- You should be a friendly, effective communicator.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills are necessary for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is located at the Marrs McLean Science Building, Suite 100, in Waco, Texas.
- This is a part-time, paid position.
- The schedule is up to 10 hours per week, occurring on weekdays between 8am and 5pm.
