About the role#
This position supports the Chief Village Officer in the daily administrative operations of a permanent supportive housing community for individuals exiting homelessness. The role is designed for students interested in community service, poverty alleviation, and facility management. Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Chief Village Officer with administrative tasks including filing, copying, and data recording.
- Field inbound phone calls and manage email correspondence.
- Address minor concerns from community neighbors.
- Contribute to the general capacity of the housing community through office support.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- A reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A mature and communicable Christian faith.
- Willingness to work alongside formerly homeless men and women.
- Enrollment in majors such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or Public Health is preferred.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Mission Waco.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10-20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
- Compensation: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour.
