About the role#
This student worker position supports retail operations at Mission Waco. You will work with community service partners to manage store functions, interact with customers, and handle incoming donations. This role is open to students eligible for Federal Work-Study.
What you'll do#
- Manage retail sales and operate the cash register for cash and credit transactions.
- Sort, tag, and organize incoming donations.
- Create window and floor displays to merchandise the store.
- Market and advertise store offerings through social media.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment through regular custodial tasks.
- Assist with the online sales component as needed.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and creative display techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including sorting donations.
- A people-oriented approach to customer service and donation intake.
- Reliable transportation, as this is an off-campus position.
- Interest in non-profit retail operations.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
- Pay Rate: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour, depending on student status and skill level.
- Term: Fall 2026 with rolling availability.
