About the role#
This position is designed for students interested in hospitality, customer service, or arts administration. It provides an opportunity to build skills in public relations and communication while supporting the operations of the Waco Civic Theatre. This role is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only.
What you'll do#
- Manage ticket sales, reservations, and customer inquiries at the box office.
- Oversee front of house operations during performances to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
- Coordinate with ushers and volunteers to maintain order and efficiency.
- Answer patron questions and provide information regarding upcoming shows.
- Assist with the organization of special events and fundraisers.
- Support the Guest Relations Manager with inventory management for gift shop items.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in cash handling and payment processing.
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to assist with housekeeping and theatre maintenance.
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance.
- Strong communication, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Patience and professionalism when interacting with the public.
- Preference for students pursuing majors in Business Administration, Communications, Art, or Media Studies.

- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Waco Civic Theatre.
- Schedule: Flexible hours with weekends required.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
