About the role#
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students interested in hospitality, customer service, or arts administration. It offers an opportunity to build skills in public relations and theatre management during the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Handle ticket sales, reservations, and customer inquiries at the box office.
- Manage the front of house during performances to ensure a positive patron experience.
- Coordinate with volunteers and ushers to maintain order and efficiency.
- Provide information about shows and answer patron questions.
- Assist in organizing special events or fundraisers.
- Assist the Guest Relations Manager with inventory of gift shop items.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in cash handling and payment processing.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to assist with housekeeping and theatre maintenance.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong communication, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Waco Civic Theatre.
- Schedule: Flexible hours with weekends required.
- Eligibility: This role is open to students in Business Administration, Communications, Art, or Media Studies who qualify for Federal Work Study.
