About the role#
This position supports the Baylor University volleyball coaching staff and student-athletes through dependable, detail-oriented assistance during practices, matches, and team operations. It is designed for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, sport management, coaching, or event operations.
What you'll do#
- Set up and break down courts, including nets, antennas, ball carts, audio systems, and training equipment.
- Assist with drills by feeding and managing balls and tracking player rotations.
- Operate practice technology such as video systems, stat software, and radar guns.
- Ensure all team equipment is organized and functional.
- Manage balls during warm-ups and match play.
- Support visiting team logistics and officials.
- Oversee ball kids during games and perform court maintenance as needed.
What you'll need#
- Detail-oriented approach to practice and operational support.
- Interest in collegiate athletics and team logistics.
- Ability to operate practice technology, including stat software and video systems.
- Majors preferred: Kinesiology, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Communications, Health Administration, Sociology, or Criminal Justice.
Location & details#
- Location: Ferrell Center, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Flexible hours with preferred practice times on Tuesday/Thursday (7:30am-10:30am) and Monday/Friday (2:00pm-5:00pm).
- Compensation: $9 per hour.
- Term: Spring and ongoing.
