About the role#
Baylor University Press publishes academic books in religious studies. This position supports our marketing and PR operations. You will gain experience in the publishing industry while working on global book marketing efforts. We are looking for students in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English.
What you'll do#
- Write press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and catalog copy.
- Manage an email account and communicate with authors.
- Design flyers and create creative content.
- Act as the initial contact for in-person guests and callers.
- Provide customer service.
- Maintain department websites, internal databases, and records.
- Assist with event planning, special projects, and department initiatives.
- Develop new processes and suggest areas for improvement.
What you'll need#
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Clifton Robinson Tower, Suite 500, 700 S University Parks Dr, Waco, TX.
- Schedule: Flexible, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Duration: 1 year.
- Pay: 10.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, on-site.
